Skills
I bring a wealth of real-world leadership experience from over 25 years in education, including the executive headship of four large primary schools. My strengths lie in strategic leadership, curriculum design, innovation, and improving outcomes at scale. I have led the development of inclusive, high-impact curricula and championed creative, evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning. With extensive experience in supporting children with SEND, I have embedded strong systems for early identification, personalised support, and inclusive practice. I have also led safeguarding across multiple settings, ensuring a culture of vigilance, accountability, and care. Promoting staff and pupil wellbeing has been a central focus throughout my leadership. I am now keen to transfer these skills into higher education and teacher development, where I can contribute practical insight, leadership expertise, and a passion for educational excellence.
About
With over 25 years of experience in primary education, including serving as an Executive Headteacher, I bring a deep understanding of teaching, curriculum design, and strategic school leadership. I have taught across the full primary age range (Nursery to Year 6), led school improvement at scale, and supported staff development through mentoring, coaching, and professional learning. I am now seeking lecturing opportunities in primary education and educational leadership, where I can share my expertise, inspire future educators, and contribute to high-quality teacher training and leadership development.
