About

I am a dedicated and versatile educator with extensive experience across secondary, tertiary, and language education sectors, both in the UK and internationally. My academic journey is rooted in a strong passion for English language, literature, and educational innovation. I hold a PhD in English from Amrita University, with my final viva scheduled this month. My interdisciplinary background is further supported by a Master s in Educational Technology from the University of Tartu, Estonia, and an MA in English from Shiv Nadar University, Delhi. I also completed a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) in the UK, equipping me with internationally recognised training in learner-centred and communicative teaching approaches. My career began in higher education as an Assistant Professor of English at Amrita University, where I taught a wide range of undergraduate literature and writing courses. I later transitioned to leadership roles at Let s Update Language Academy in Kochi, India, where I served as Head of Academics and subsequently as Educational Technologist and Head of Digital Content. In these roles, I led curriculum development, faculty training, and the integration of digital learning platforms spearheading the academy s transition into hybrid and tech-enabled education. Currently, I am working as a Cover Supervisor through Link3 Recruitment in Leicester, gaining valuable experience in UK school settings. This role has enhanced my adaptability, classroom management skills, and understanding of diverse learner needs at the secondary level. Over the years, I have also gained experience as an OET Speaking Interlocutor and have contributed to content development for English language proficiency programmes. I bring with me a record of academic excellence, a strong commitment to student success, and the ability to inspire learners through both traditional and creative approaches to teaching.
