I personally think I would be suited for this role because it is a new exciting role that I am ready for and it something I want to progress in. I am very good at learning new tasks as in my current role I did an apprenticeship and I was set lots of different tasks that I completed in a small period of time. I was organised with all of my work such as making PowerPoints, word documents and assessments. After completing my apprenticeship I was then able to be independent and take on new exciting opportunities such as having key children, going on new training courses, being more vocal and expressing ideas and coming up with activities for the children. Also I am update with my current jobs policies and procedures which I follow everyday in my practice of work such as safeguarding, whistleblowing procedure, health and safety and data protection. I have lots of different experience which includes working in 3 different nurseries with ages from 0-5, children with special needs and working in partnership with parents. Also I have done lots of different training such as safeguarding, manual handling, first aid, fire safety and many more. Also I have completed an ICT qualification so I have loads of understanding of how to use all of the different Microsoft softwares such as word, PowerPoint, excel and many more. I have my own key children which is my key group to do planning and observations for, one to one activities and parents evenings twice a year. I have lots of experience with dealing and helping parents with different things such as toilet training, managing behaviours and helping with learning. I have great bonds with them. I am very good at using my initiative when helping parents as some struggle when they are moving into the next room so I give them lots of information about the room and reassurance. Some administration duties I have used at work is using word to make activities for the children's learning, Observing children then writing up observations on an Ipad and answering phone calls and dealing with different enquires from parents and other professionals such as ofsted, speech and language therapists and health visitors. Whilst working at the nursery I have learnt about different areas such as the toxic trio, substance misuse and four areas of abuse. Whilst caring for the children and creating new exciting experiences for them I also had to look out for any signs of changes with the children and if they are at risk of harm. One of these situations occurred so there was support from other professionals such as social workers and the police. Also I have had experience working in a flooring and carpet shop in the office talking phone calls, sending off emails and doing invoices. I am a very organised person as I will make notes when I have deadlines and I will always be able to meet the set target of what needs to be achieved. I like helping other individuals as I have good communication skills to support others.
