Skills
With over 15 years of experience in international education, I am a highly experienced academic leader and operations manager with a strong background in curriculum design, assessment strategy, and educational quality assurance. I have held senior leadership positions at the Military Technological College in Oman, most recently as Deputy Head of Department, where I oversee a large-scale English Foundation Programme, managing over 30 teaching colleagues and 800+ students. My expertise includes leading assessment development, including introducing innovative assessment models (e.g. project-based and online formats), managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating institutional transitions such as curriculum restructuring and programme redesign. A qualified IELTS examiner with an MEd in Education (Linguistics), an MSc in Social Psychology, and DELTA/CELTA qualifications, I bring both academic rigour and operational effectiveness to every role. I am suited for senior roles that combine educational strategy with implementation, especially in assessment design and delivery, teaching and learning leadership, curriculum reform, and quality assurance. I thrive in roles that involve leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing complex educational projects, and working across stakeholder groups to drive learner outcomes. This includes roles such as Head of Assessment, Director of Academic Operations, Educational Reform Project Lead, or Teaching & Learning Strategist, especially within international education settings, assessment organisations, or skills-based development initiatives. I combine extensive pedagogical expertise with strategic and operational skills gained across both educational and corporate environments. Within education, I bring strengths in curriculum and assessment design, staff leadership, quality assurance, and large-scale programme management, underpinned by qualifications such as the MEd, DELTA, and CELTA. I am experienced in data-driven planning, academic forecasting, and the integration of technology to enhance learning and assessment. From my earlier career in the corporate sector, as Global Intranet Manager and Electronic Content Manager at Regus, I bring project management experience, systems thinking, technical infrastructure oversight, and a strong command of digital tools and communication systems. These complementary skill sets make him particularly effective in roles that bridge educational leadership, operational delivery, and strategic development.
