I have acquired several skills from my work experience to enable me to become a competent trainer in the Security Industry namely: (1)Good communication- listening, observing and empathising with people (2) Organisational skills- planning courses and materials with the aim to improve the learner's comprehension. Effectively organising my tasks. (3) Research skills - gathering information, analysing, interpreting it, in order to come up with a solution (4) Time management- enabling me to achieve the intended objectives, helping me to stay on course. Good time management skills allow me to prioritise work, prepare my objectives more efficiently and accomplish more in less time. (5) Critical thinking- identifying a problem or issue, coming up with a solution and then implementing it
About
An adaptable, enthusiastic and self motivated individual with broad ranging experience. Communicates well, able to relate to people at all levels and form working relationships quickly with a wide range of people. Possesses teaching skills and is computer literate. Working as a Machine Printing Lecturer, I have taught apprentices technical skills to enable them to become competent in operating Lithographic printing presses. I have also acquired advisor skills when I worked as a generalist adviser at Citizen Advice bureau, namely advising clients on how to resolve their various problems, researching information and liaising with senior management to ensure the clients are getting the best advise. In the Security Industry I have worked various roles as a Retail Security Officer, CCTV Operator and Corporate Security Officer enabling me to acquire skills such as good communication, critical thinking, customer service, training in first aid and self-defence.
