About

I am a Hairdresser / Lecturer / Receptionist with 27 years experience working in commercial customer-focused salons for many years mainly In high branding salons such as Toni and Guy. I am also an experienced Lecturer / Assessor working at both Crawley and Kingston colleges. During my career I have gained an A1 Assessor Award and NVQ Level s 1- 4 in Hairdressing, hair extensions diploma s with brans such as Balmain . I have also completed modules of Vocational Teaching (HE) . I am passionate and committed to supporting students to achieve great learning outcomes.  I am committed to providing an excellent experience to students at the college. I can deliver efficient and effective teaching to level 1-3 Hairdressing and also barbering students. I have many year s experience with styling a range of hair types & a knowledge of trichological studies . I am to further my knowledge in more trichology studies and Afro hair types due to having Afro hair myself, so I can impart more wisdom on the students. I have prior experience in planing lessons, delivering and assessing students in the college environment and a salon environment. I have many health and safety qualifications within my practices. During the time acquainted in my career, I have acquired key skills to progress my career further. As a dynamic and methodical individual, my main attributes include honesty, good interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to my work. I am friendly, hardworking, highly motivated and dedicated. I understand the importance of teamwork and can also work on my own initiative. I am organised, computer literate and used to working to deadlines. I am have developed excellent communication skills and can liaise with people at all levels. Teaching is my passion and I most enjoy students fully grasping knowledge after teaching them.
