Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or above)
Location & Working Hours
West Downs Day Nursery Winchester SO22 5HT (on the Student Village site of the University of Winchester).
Contract: Permanent 18-40 hours/week 52 weeks/year.
Working pattern: Full and part time options available of 2-5 days a week. Shifts fall between 07:30am 18:30pm.
Salary: £27,040 £32,427.20 per annum (pro rata) £13.00 £15.59 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Create opportunities for learning, planning and implementing high quality, engaging activities that promote learning through play.
- Observe, assess and record children's progress.
- Act as a Key Person, ensuring each child's needs are met.
- Advocate for safeguarding, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and happy and their well being is promoted.
- Collaborate in partnership with children, parents and colleagues, effectively communicating and building strong and positive relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a DfE approved early years qualification at Level 2 or above.
- Knowledge of the EYFS, enabling work as a Key Person.
- Experience in early years education (previous practice preferred).
