About the Role
We are working in partnership with a forward thinking secondary school in Brackley that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher from September 2026 on a full time, long term supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established Science department that values teamwork, high expectations, and engaging, practical based learning.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons that build scientific knowledge and curiosity.
- Use practical experiments and investigations to enhance learning.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
- Provide clear feedback to support pupil achievement and development.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Support curriculum delivery within the Science department.
- Contribute to a positive and focused learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and challenge students of all abilities.
- Confident classroom management skills with a consistent approach.
- A team player who contributes positively to department life.
- ECTs are welcome and will be fully supported in the role.
