The Arthur Terry School is seeking a highly organised and proactive School Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of the school's daily operations, supporting both the strategic and operational needs of our school community.
Reporting directly to the Headteacher, you will take ownership of:
Administration & Compliance
Overseeing administrative functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting effective school governance
Site & Premises Management
Managing facilities, maintenance, and health and safety standards
Human Resources
Supporting HR processes including recruitment, staff wellbeing, and record keeping
Finance & Budgeting
Coordinating departmental finances and monitoring expenditure.
Project Coordination
Leading and managing school projects to ensure timely and successful delivery
Executive Support
Providing PA support to the Headteacher and leadership group as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in school operations or a similar administrative leadership role
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with staff, pupils, and external partners
- Knowledge of HR, finance, and health and safety practices within an educational setting
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
