This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with experience in groundworks and highways maintenance to join our new construction provision at Brinsbury Campus, playing a key role in shaping and delivering high quality teaching and learning from the outset.
Working as part of a developing and supportive teaching team, the post holder will deliver practical and theoretical learning across construction related programmes, with a particular emphasis on groundworks and highways. You will use your industry expertise to design and deliver engaging learning that equips students with the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours required for progression into employment or further training.
The role will also involve contributing to the development, set up and effective use of practical workshops and outdoor training areas, ensuring learning environments are safe, well organised and reflective of current industry practice. Confidence in the use of hand tools, power tools and basic machinery is essential, alongside the ability to model safe working practices and high professional standards.
As part of a new and growing provision, you will play a significant role in embedding outstanding teaching and learning practices, helping to establish high expectations, strong learner engagement and excellent outcomes. There will be opportunities for training on new equipment, qualifications and working practices as the provision develops to meet future employer and skills needs.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new construction provision and inspire the next generation of groundworks and highways professionals within a modern learning environment.
