- Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham Swift Childcare are a training provider based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to support learners within the virtual learning environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting learners with a range of abilities and learning needs, while working alongside education professionals such as tutors, support coaches, and EPA (End-Point Assessment) leads.
You will play a key role in helping create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning experience, supporting learners both academically and personally to help them reach their full potential.
Duties and Responsibilities Support tutors and training staff in delivering engaging learning sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
Work with learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities, via the virtual learning environment.
Provide targeted support for learners with additional needs, including SEND helping them access learning effectively.
Assist support coaches in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in sessions.
Support the preparation of learning resources and training materials.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment.
Build positive relationships with learners to support confidence, motivation, and independence.
Support monitoring of learner progress and provide feedback to tutors and Success and Engagement Manager.
Assist EPA leads where required, supporting learners in preparation for assessments and progression.
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive learning behaviours at all times.
Previous experience working with children or young people/adults in an education or training setting.
Experience supporting SEND learners is desirable.
Experience of online delivery/support is desirable.
GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
