About the role
A warm and inclusive primary SEND school in Boston is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEND Teacher to join their team. The school provides highly personalised support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, focusing on developing academic progress, communication skills, independence, and confidence.
Teaching takes place within a nurturing, structured environment using adapted curricula, predictable routines, and engaging, child centred approaches. This position is available on a full time basis and is to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated, accessible lessons tailored to the individual needs of primary aged pupils with SEND.
- Adapt the curriculum to ensure all learners can engage meaningfully, using appropriate assessment to inform planning and progress.
- Use a range of inclusive strategies such as visual supports, clear routines, modelling, and hands on learning activities to promote engagement and understanding.
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, promoting positive learning behaviours and emotional regulation.
Pre requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred (UK).
- Experience teaching or supporting primary aged children with SEND, either in a specialist or mainstream setting.
- A strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and strategies to support access to learning.
- Confidence in adapting teaching methods, breaking down learning into manageable steps, and using a variety of inclusive approaches.
- A patient, flexible, and nurturing teaching style with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
