About the role:
Justteachers Supply Agency are looking to appoint an innovative and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position at a partner secondary school in Coventry, starting in September 2026. The role is expected to continue through to the end of the academic year, with scope for a permanent opportunity.
Situated in Coventry, the school holds a 'Good' Ofsted rating and educates students at secondary level. It prides itself on a supportive leadership team and a progressive approach to teaching and learning, particularly within its technology departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging Computer Science lessons, including topics such as programming, algorithms, and data representation
- Inspiring students to develop problem-solving skills and an interest in digital technology
- Planning lessons in line with the curriculum and adapting materials to meet a range of abilities
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Maintaining a focused and positive classroom environment, ensuring effective behaviour management
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level, ideally up to GCSE
- Strong subject knowledge, including programming concepts and computational thinking
- Effective classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a technical subject
- Two professional references, preferably from an educational setting
