About the Role:
Justteachers is recruiting a flexible and dependable Cover Supervisor to work across various subjects in a secondary school in Halifax. This is a full-time, long-term supply role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and supporting pupils across the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4 in the absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
- Support pupils with their work and encourage positive learning behaviours.
- Follow school policies and report feedback or concerns to relevant staff.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with young people in a secondary school setting.
- Confidence managing classroom behaviour across different subject areas.
- Flexible approach and willingness to cover a variety of subjects.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to provide two education-based references.
