Justteachers is looking to appoint a skilled and dedicated SENDCo to join a specialist SEMH school on the outskirts of Nuneaton. This is a full time role starting in September 2026, offering the opportunity to take a strategic lead in SEND provision within a therapeutic and highly supportive school environment.
This role is ideal for a qualified SENDCo who is passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs, including behavioural challenges, trauma, and additional learning barriers. You will play a central role in shaping inclusive practice, leading interventions, and ensuring every student has access to the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of SEND provision across the school.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students' needs are identified early and met through personalised strategies and appropriate support.
- Provide guidance, training, and coaching to staff to build confidence and consistency in supporting students with complex needs.
- Contribute to whole school safeguarding, behaviour planning, and inclusive practice.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a SENDCo qualification (or willingness to work toward it).
- Substantial experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs and/or complex SEND.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and inclusive classroom practice.
- Two relevant references, ideally from educational or leadership settings.
