We are looking for a Deputy Exams Officer to join us at Tameside College!
As Deputy Exams Officer, you will support the leadership, development, and delivery of key cross-college examination services, including exam registration, entries and certification, paper-based examinations and assessments, online testing programmes, and certificate distribution.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the College's Examination Service, providing support to both staff and students. This includes ensuring that examination entries, registrations, and results are accurately processed, maintained, and recorded in line with College policies, Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations, and awarding body requirements.
Standard Duties
You will provide an efficient and effective Examination Service for staff and students across the College ensuring entries, registrations and results are accurately collated and recorded in accordance with college policies, Joint Council for Qualifications guidance and Awarding Body Regulations.
What You'll Need
You will need between 6- and 8-years' experience in delivering a variety of exams across a number of Further Education campuses. You will ensure the efficient and effective running of all college examinations and awards in line with Awarding Body Regulations, including arrangements for any examination timetable clashes, access arrangements, special consideration requests, security arrangements and amendments to candidates' details. You will have solid experience of maintaining and developing appropriate procedures and systems for paper and online examination administration and to ensure examination procedures are communicated to all relevant college staff. You must be able to assist with the effective management of staff including appointment; training; deployment; informing and motivating.
