About the role:
justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Harrogate to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education (RE) for a long term supply position starting in September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an RE specialist to join a supportive Humanities department and deliver engaging, thought provoking lessons that encourage discussion, reflection, and understanding across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 student
- Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
- Promoting respectful discussion and critical thinking
- Working collaboratively within the Humanities department
- Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and learning
Pre-requisites:
- QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
- Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
- Ability to commit to a long term supply role from September
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils' personal and academic development
