We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school from September 2026. This is a varied role where you will work across multiple classes, supporting teachers and making a real difference to pupils' learning and wellbeing.
A key focus of this position will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the school. You will work both 1:1 and with small groups, helping to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
An earlier start date is available for candidates who are able to begin before the end of the current academic year.
Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom support across different year groups as required
- Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Promote inclusion and support pupils' emotional and social development
- Work closely with teachers and SLT to support individual learning plans
The Ideal Candidate- Has experience working with young people aged 11-16 years
- Has knowledge or experience supporting SEN (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH)
- Is adaptable, proactive, and confident working across different classes
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Holds a positive, patient, and nurturing approach
