As an Engagement and Inclusion Skills Coach, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to transforming lives through learning. Working across both Young People's Learning and Adult Learning provision, you will support individuals to re-engage with education, overcome barriers and achieve their goals. You'll deliver high-quality, inclusive pastoral and wellbeing support, helping learners from a wide range of backgrounds build confidence, develop resilience and gain the skills they need for future success. Working closely with safeguarding colleagues, you will ensure support for vulnerable and at-risk learners is responsive and tailored to individual needs. By building strong, trusted relationships, you will empower learners to take ownership of their progress, raising aspirations and encouraging sustained engagement, attendance and progression. - Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, supporting wellbeing, motivation, confidence and overcoming practical barriers to learning.
- Support learners to develop coping strategies, build positive routines and access appropriate support services.
- Contribute to the development, review and delivery of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and behaviour and attendance contracts.
- Promote good attendance and sustained engagement by identifying early signs of disengagement and implementing timely interventions.

Experience supporting learners in education, training or community settings. - Strong understanding of inclusive practice, pastoral support and learner wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to individual needs and challenges.
- Good organisational and digital skills, with the ability to manage your workload independently.
- A learner-centred approach, with high expectations and a genuine belief in every learner's potential., You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire, and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.

We are recruiting for two roles: one primarily supporting the north of the county and one primarily supporting the south. Your office base will be the HCC office closest to your home address from the following: X-Perience Youth Centre (Fareham), Dame Mary Fagan House (Basingstoke) or Elizabeth II Court (Winchester), however much of your time will be spent supporting learners out in the community.
