Tradewind Recruitment is working with a newly opened all-through SEND School in Wombourne that is looking to recruit a SEND Teacher on a temporary to permanent basis.
Role Overview
The school provides a personalised and inclusive education for children and young people aged 5 16 who experience a range of learning difficulties, including ASD, Global Development Delay, Neurodiversity, moderate learning difficulties, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Processing difficulties, Speech, language and communication needs. The school follows a bespoke model designed to engage all learners with the overarching vision of individualised support and preparation for successful independent adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised and inclusive instruction to SEND pupils.
- Plan and deliver curriculum largely based on the National Curriculum while ensuring high educational standards.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to support pupils' wellbeing and development, helping them become self regulating, self aware and socially and emotionally mature.
- Collaborate with staff to meet pupils' social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Maintain high expectations for all pupils, regardless of additional challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong understanding of special needs education and an ability to empathise with pupils.
- Experience as a SEND teacher or a graduate ECT applicant; UQT candidates are considered and may be supported in qualifying.
- Track record of school experience required to progress to the UPS pay scale.
- Adaptability to a temp to perm placement and willingness to start as soon as possible.
Pay Scale
Pay starts at UQT 1 and can progress to UPS 3 with a proven track record of school experience.

Based in Wombourne; the role is available to start ASAP.
