Computer Science Teacher - Full-time, long-term cover for illness from July 2026 or September 2026

Duties as Computer Science Teacher
- Deliver high quality KS4 Computing lessons aligned with curriculum expectations
- Plan and teach KS4 Esports courses, ensuring engaging and relevant content
- Deliver KS5 Esports provision, supporting students in developing advanced technical, strategic, and teamwork skills
- Create engaging lessons that promote problem solving, creativity, and digital literacy
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with departmental and school policies
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities and interests
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement in the classroom
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute positively to the wider school community
Ideal Computer Science Teacher
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Computer Science at KS4 level
- Has experience teaching or a strong interest in Esports at KS4 and KS5
- Demonstrates secure subject knowledge and enthusiasm for computing and digital technologies
- Is confident managing a classroom and motivating learners
- Is flexible and adaptable to cover a long term absence
- Is available to start in July 2026 or September 2026
- Is committed to supporting pupil progress and personal development
