Role
This role involves the delivery of quality education, training, and support to students studying brickwork within the Construction department. The position includes teaching across multiple areas of the construction sector, using a range of awarding organisations, and expanding the curriculum to meet industry needs at both local and national levels.
Qualifications
Teaching experience is preferred, and holding a teaching qualification and assessor award is advantageous but not essential. Appropriate training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
- Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
- Assess learners' work both formatively and summatively against awarding body criteria to ensure qualification attainment.
- Comply with all college quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to achieve all internal and external audits.
- Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and use a variety of appropriate teaching methods.
- Maintain an up to date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross cutting themes) for each course/class taught.
