Summary

The Coppice School is a thriving school in South Ribble between Leyland and Preston. We have 64 pupils on roll aged between 2-19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our happy and dedicated staff team.

Terms & Conditions

Salary: £25,949 pro rata, full time equivalent. Hours: 29 hours a week, part time, term time only. Closing date: 30 June 2026. Location: The Coppice School, Ash Grove, Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancashire, PR5 6GY.

Qualifications

Relevant Child Care Qualification or Equivalent
Maths and English Level 2 or Equivalent

Essential Experience

Ability to relate well to children
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to organise classroom resources
Good communication skills (oral and written)
Will be subject to a Disclosure Barring Service check and satisfactory references

Desirable Experience

Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
Basic knowledge of first aid
Ability to use relevant technology
Flexible attitude to work
