Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term Time Only)
Actual Salary: £24,747.18 per annum (£26,661 FTE)
As our Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy, you will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.
The post holder will support the achievement of students through the development of practical and academic skills to include support for student learning activities in workshops, one to one and classrooms situations. You will provide teaching support on projects and assignments set by teachers, monitor and support students on work experience and provide high quality resource management including specialist equipment.

Responsibilities of our Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy:
Work effectively together with other staff and cross-college colleagues as one team, respect and value each other to deliver outstanding services to studentsPrepare training materials, equipment and resources for student activities which you are responsible for including a rich tutorial programmeDeliver high quality learning experiences which enable students to develop in their learning.Deliver training to improve the technical and or academic skills of studentsSupervise and provide instruction to groups of students to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the qualificationAssess learning and measure student progress through a range of assessment methods.Supervise and facilitate employability and enrichment activities for studentsEnsure that practical learning environments, equipment, machines and plant comply with health and safety requirements, identifying necessary actions and reporting through line managementMaintain individual student records to capture progress, including maintaining records of student attendance and initial assessmentContribute to the onboarding of students such as interviewing, taster sessions and attend open events as requiredAct always as ambassador for the college through a professional approach to internal and external customersActively comply and contribute to the College’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection
What we’re looking for in our Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy:
Level 2 qualification in Maths and EnglishLevel 2 qualification in a relevant subjectFirst aid at work or willing to work towardsHold or be willing to work towards a relevant Level 3 teaching qualification e.g., PTLLS
