Salary: £50,000 – £63,654 (DOE). Employment: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.We are looking for an experienced Overhead Lines professional to step into an instructor role and receive training to become a trainer. The role is predominantly hands‑on, with roughly 80% of the time spent delivering practical training.Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality practical training in overhead line construction and maintenance.Support classroom‑based learning when required.Design and develop engaging training programmes.Assess learners against industry standards (NVQ, Diploma, End Point Assessment).Ensure all training is delivered safely and in line with legislation.Work closely with industry clients to meet training needs.Support learners to achieve recognised qualifications.Essential Qualifications and Skills10 years' experience in electricity distribution or overhead lines.Strong background in overhead line construction and maintenance.Relevant authorisations held (or currently held).Good understanding of LV/HV systems.Full UK driving licence.Physically fit and comfortable working in practical environments.Desirable (but can be developed)Teaching or training qualification (e.g., PTLLS).Assessor qualification (D32/33 or equivalent).IOSH, NEBOSH or similar safety qualification.BenefitsPension (5% employee / 3% employer).Health scheme (HSF Level 2).Perkbox discounts.Cycle to Work scheme.33 days holiday, including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown, plus an extra day at 5, 7 and 10 years of service.Working HoursMonday to Friday, 40 hours per week.Start: 7:30/8:00 am – Finish: 4:00/4:30 pm.If you are ready to step away from the tools full‑time while retaining a hands‑on role in the industry, this could be the perfect next move.
