About the role
Justteachers is pleased to be supporting one of our respected partner schools in Thetford in their search for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher. This is a full-time, long-term position starting on 27th April 2026, with the potential to continue beyond the initial placement.
The school is a welcoming and nurturing early years setting, committed to providing a safe, stimulating environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically. As part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in shaping children's early learning experiences and helping them build strong foundations for future education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Support children's development across all areas, including communication, language, physical development, and personal, social and emotional growth
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support each child's development
- Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding procedures and values
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant Early Years qualification
- Experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A nurturing, patient approach with a passion for early childhood education
- A commitment to high-quality teaching and supporting pupil wellbeing
- Two education-based references from within the last two years
