Lecturer in Foundation Learning

Hours: 24.05 hours per week
Salary: £33,202 to £42,266 full time equivalent (£21,581 to £27,472 actual salary)
Location: Selby College
This position offers an opportunity to provide outstanding teaching and learning to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will deliver lessons and vocational taster sessions to support their progression and employability.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for learners with SEND, including employability skills, maths, English, and digital skills from Entry Level to Level 2.
- Plan and deliver vocational taster sessions to raise aspiration for further study.
- Arrange local employer engagement and encourage local social action to give learners a wide range of opportunities.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent level qualification.
- GCSE A -C / 9-4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Experience working with young people with SEND, ideally in a teaching capacity.
- Experience teaching employability skills, Functional Skills maths, English and Digital Skills up to Level 2.
