We are looking for someone organized, approachable, and ready to make a real difference to families across Wrexham as they navigate one of the biggest decisions they make for their children - choosing the right school place.
In this role, you'll be working with our Synergy admissions system every day, entering, checking and validating pupil information with a high level of accuracy, and ensuring that all data is secure, compliant and up to date. This accuracy is essential, because it underpins the fair allocation of school places and ensures that we meet our legal responsibilities under Welsh Government legislation.
You'll be the person families turn to for clear, confident advice, whether they're using the online application portal to apply for a normal point of entry school place, or considering a mid year school transfer which can be sensitive or complex. You'll be a trusted point of contact for headteachers, school based colleagues, council officers and external organisations, offering clear guidance on admissions, transfers and appeals.
We are seeking someone who is confident, customer focused, resilient under pressure, and able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and confidence using IT systems are essential.
If you are committed to delivering a high quality service for families and schools, and you thrive in a role where accuracy, professionalism and problem solving are key, we would welcome your application.
The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.
The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
