Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (dependent on experience) + TLR
Role Overview
- Teach English across KS3-KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Support the Head of English in leading and developing the department
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote a love of reading, writing, and literature
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and departmental initiativesSupport colleagues through collaboration, coaching, and sharing best practice
- Encourage participation in extracurricular English activities and enrichment opportunities
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Ability to support departmental leadership and drive high standards of teaching and learning
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Passionate about high-quality teaching and student achievement
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
