Job Overview
West Suffolk College, part of Eastern Education Group, is looking for a lecturer in Electrotechnical. The role is permanent, with reference 5122. Salary ranges from £29,583 to £41,964 per annum, based on experience. Working hours are 35 per week, 52 weeks per year.
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess learners across a range of programmes, including apprenticeships and short courses.
- Ensure learners acquire the technical knowledge and practical skills required in the electrical services industry.
- Plan curriculum, produce learning materials, and support the development of the Electrotechnical provision.
- Mentor and advise students, providing academic and personal support.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and collaborate with curriculum teams, employers and industry bodies.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning within the college.
Qualifications
- Significant industry experience in electrotechnical work.
- Teaching experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification, supported by the college.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to translate industry practice into learning.
