Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Tamworth, working on both a long term and short term basis, starting immediately.
This is an exciting opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people to gain valuable classroom experience and make a positive impact in local schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre planned lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs.
- Encourage engagement and participation in learning activities.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and wider school staff.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Essential Qualifications
- Must have recent and relevant experience working with young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident managing groups of students within a classroom setting.
- Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different school environments.
- Experience within an education setting is desirable but not essential.
