We are seeking an enthusiastic 1:1 Tutor to provide tailored educational support to learners in the Northumberland (NE65) area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to help students build confidence, achieve their academic goals, and reach their full potential.
The Role
As a 1:1 Tutor, you will deliver personalised lessons designed to meet the individual needs of the learner. Sessions may take place in the student's home, a community setting, or another suitable location.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, learner-focused sessions
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
- Support academic progress and confidence-building
- Monitor and record student development
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching or tutoring children and young people
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners
- Patient, adaptable, and committed approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education
- Previous 1:1 tuition experience
