Position Details

- £85 - £105 per day
- Secondary school based in Shrewsbury
- 1:1 and small group academic support across KS3 and KS4 Maths
The Role
Work with the Maths department to provide targeted support for pupils across KS3 and KS4. You will deliver 1:1 and small-group intervention, reinforce lesson content, support revision, and help students build confidence in areas such as number, algebra, ratio, problem solving, and exam technique.
The Candidate
You are clear, organised, and able to explain ideas in a way pupils can actually follow. You want practical secondary school experience, enjoy helping students improve in Maths, and are keen to develop the classroom skills needed for a future in teaching.
Requirements
- Degree - A 2:2 or above in Maths, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or a related subject.
- Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children - Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Career Goals - A desire to train as a teacher and build a long term career in education.
