Start Date: September/October 2026 - initial maternity cover with the potential to extend beyond the autumn term
The Supply Register is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of the Leathersellers' Federation for a qualified Science Teacher to join the team at Prendergast Ladywell School.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a broad science curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
This part-time position is available for 4 days per week and is initially to cover a maternity leave, with the chance of the assignment continuing beyond the initial period.
Key Responsibilities - Science Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with school policies
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high achievement
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
