1:1 Tutor - Northampton Area

Location: Northampton and surrounding areas

Hours: Flexible - During School Hours

Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible

About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to support primary and secondary-aged pupils across Northampton and the surrounding areas.

Working closely with local schools, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a variety of settings, including:

Pupils' homes
School settings
Local libraries

This role is ideal for qualified teachers who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions.
Support pupils in core subjects, including English and Maths.
Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
Monitor and record pupil progress.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
Ensure all safeguarding and compliance procedures are followed.

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
Experience teaching primary and/or secondary-aged pupils.
Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within Northampton and surrounding areas.

Desirable Experience

Previous tutoring experience.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs, or those accessing alternative provision.
Ability to teach across multiple key stages and subjects.
Experience working with pupils who require additional support to engage with education.
