Description
Fixed term contract, 37 hours per week, until 31 July 2027. Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27-P35 £32,186.70 - £40,015.50). Interview date: Radstock Campus, 29 June.
Job Purpose: To deliver teaching and learning, administer assessment processes within the department and across other departments on a serviced-in basis. To work flexibly across a range of courses as required, both face to face and through remote learning platforms. To adhere to and administer Health and Safety policies and procedures. To assist in the coordination of recruitment, assessment, enrollment, and induction of students. To contribute towards the planning and effective running of the curriculum and department.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment procedures and processes in accordance with examination requirements. Ensure a safe working environment.
- Deliver functional skills English and Mathematics from Entry to Level 2.
- Produce sequencing documents, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments carried out by the course team, including tracking and monitoring student progress.
- Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and learners.
- Work proactively to forward the success and vision of the department.
- Contribute effectively to the Teaching Communities strategy and engage positively in developing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Teaching qualification.
- Level 4 qualification in English/Mathematics or a related qualification.
- Knowledge of the current functional skills syllabus.
- Knowledge of the Functional Skills English and Maths syllabus.
