A specialist educational setting in Yeovil is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join its dedicated team from September 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start for the right person.

This full time position would suit somebody who thrives in a structured yet rewarding environment and enjoys helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising classes during teacher absences
Delivering pre planned learning activities
Encouraging learners to remain engaged throughout the school day
Supporting pupils with additional needs
Building positive and trusting relationships with students
Contributing to a calm and purposeful learning environment The setting supports children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication differences, social, emotional and mental health needs, and associated learning difficulties.

Patience, resilience, initiative, and a proactive approach are essential qualities for success.

Previous experience within education, care, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or residential support would be highly beneficial; however, individuals with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people are strongly encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
