Amplify Education is a multi academy trust of 22 schools across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. Cathedral Primary School is a unique two form primary school situated in the historic Central Library building, sharing the site with Bristol Cathedral Choir School.
The role involves supporting children and young people with additional needs across the school community (ages 4 to 18). It is a creative, resilient, flexible, and positive position with a focus on inclusion, safeguarding and leading small group activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group support for children with SEND in classroom and school settings.
- Assist teachers and support staff with integrating SEND pupils into learning activities.
- Support the implementation of learning and educational plans.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to safeguarding initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good understanding of how children with SEND learn.
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
- Creative, resilient, flexible and positive attitude.
- Strong relationship building skills and capacity to support inclusion.
