We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, empathetic and committed Learning Support Assistant, who has a passion for working with children with SEN, to join our team at Wisborough Green Primary School.

Job Details
Job title: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Salary: Grade 3 Point 4
Hours: 31 hours 15 minutes per week, 8:30am 3:15pm Monday to Friday, term time only, includes lunchtime supervision responsibilities
Contract type: Fixed term, 2nd September 2026 until 21st July 2027
Closing date: Monday 22nd June at 9 a.m.
Interviews: Wednesday 24th June 2026
What You Need to Succeed
- Will work alongside children with SEN, in groups or on a 1:1 basis, within a classroom setting or in designated spaces
- Can engage and motivate children appropriately and sensitively
- Has excellent organisational skills and is a good communicator
- Can use their initiative when working on their own, and can work effectively as part of a team
- Is calm, resilient and flexible
- Has a good understanding of positive strategies to promote positive behaviour
- Has a genuine desire to make a difference to children's learning and development
The duties and responsibilities listed describe the post as it is at present. The post holder is expected to accept any reasonable alterations that may from time to time be necessary. This role will be reviewed annually.
