Join Us as a Learning Mentor Special Needs PMLD in an SEN School. A supportive SEN school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. You will assist with personal care, communication, and learning, ensuring each pupil receives tailored support to thrive.
Responsibilities
- The Learning Mentor Special Needs PMLD recruited for this role will be expected to collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure students continuously challenge themselves to improve.
- The Learning Mentor Special Needs PMLD appointed to this position will need to establish and maintain the standards of pupil behavior required to create an orderly and productive environment.
- Strong understanding of mental health challenges in children and adolescents.
- Experience in implementing strategies to support emotional well-being.
Qualifications / Experience
- You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
- Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
- To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
