Location: Bedford College - Cauldwell Street Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Note - Salary and annual leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

About the role:We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Creative Media to join our Performing Arts department at The Bedford College Group
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Teaching, Learning & Creative Media Delivery - Deliver engaging teaching across Creative Media programmes, supporting learners to develop creative, technical and industry‑relevant skills.
- Curriculum Planning & Assessment - Prepare and deliver lessons, assess student work and ensure learning meets course requirements and supports student progress.
- Course Administration & Organisation - Complete course‑related administration accurately and on time, supporting effective programme delivery and learner tracking.
- Curriculum Development & Leadership Contribution - Contribute to curriculum design and innovation, supporting course leadership and the development of high‑quality programmes.
- Professional Practice & Compliance - Uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities, ensuring a safe, inclusive and professional learning environment.
About you:- Qualifications & Media Industry Expertise - Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, with strong industry experience in media production and up‑to‑date knowledge of current trends and practices.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Development - Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality teaching across levels, creating engaging, inclusive learning environments that support student success.
- Technical Media Production Skills - Comprehensive expertise in video production, camera operation, lighting, audio recording and post‑production using industry software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition).
- Digital Media, IT & Creative Delivery - Skilled in digital content creation, multimedia teaching approaches and use of software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, with awareness of online platforms and audience engagement.
- Professional Practice, Collaboration & Compliance - Strong organisational and communication skills, able to work collaboratively, meet deadlines and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and professional standards.
