About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support children's learning, development, and wellbeing while helping to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. You will work closely with nursery teams to ensure children receive the highest standards of care throughout their day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
- Support children's learning and development through engaging play-based activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Observe and monitor children's progress and wellbeing.
- Support children's personal care routines while promoting independence.
- Ensure the nursery environment remains safe, clean, and stimulating.
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Promote inclusion, equality, and diversity within the setting.
- Work effectively as part of a team to support the daily running of the nursery.
- Contribute to creating a positive and welcoming environment for all children and families.
Requirements
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting is desirable.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
