Year 6 Teacher - KS2 Opportunity
Location: Barking & Dagenham, East London
Salary: £39,851 - £50,474 (M2-M6)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.
The successful Year 6 Teacher will be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality teaching and excellent pupil outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to teach a motivated class during a crucial stage of their primary education, helping pupils prepare confidently for their transition to secondary school.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for end of Key Stage assessments and secondary transition.
- Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents and school leaders to ensure every child reaches their potential.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for raising attainment and supporting pupil success.
