About the role
Deliver high quality and stimulating learning for students with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (CLDD) such as Autism, Multi Sensory Impairments and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Multi disciplinary work is critical to maximise student learning, boost independence and wellbeing and prepare them for life after college. The role involves liaising with internal colleagues, external professionals and students' families, and monitoring, recording and optimising learner progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised learning programmes for CLDD students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, external professionals and families.
- Monitor and record learner progress and optimise development plans.
- Support students' independence and wellbeing in preparation for post college life.
Qualifications & experience
- Qualified teacher with experience working with people with complex learning difficulties such as ASC or profound and multiple learning difficulties.
- Excellent communication, creativity, proactivity and forward thinking.
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to high standards of care.
