Position Details
Hours of work: 38.5 hours per week (Teaching Assistant: 33.5 hours & Midday Supervisory Assistant: 5 hours). Working pattern: Full-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service). (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata). Fixed term: Until July 2027 (Fixed to be reviewed).

Role Summary
Buxted CofE Primary is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic EYFS team and After School Club. Buxted is a thriving, one form entry, rural primary school with a committed, friendly staff. We have motivated, happy children who are very rewarding to work with and strong family support.
The role will be classroom based in Reception with three sessions in our thriving afterschool club.
Key Person and Working Hours
The role is for 33 TA + 5 MDSA hours per week:
- Monday/Tuesday/Friday 8 00 and 1:30 5:30
- Wednesday/Thursday 8 00 and 1:30 3:30
- With an additional 5 hours as a midday supervisor.
- Salary will be paid pro rata.

- Enjoys working with children and has a genuine belief that all children have the potential to succeed.
- Enjoys working with the youngest children in primary school.
- Is compassionate and caring, patient and intuitive with a good sense of fun.
- Is adaptable, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Is able to run small group activities.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
Experience as a Teaching Assistant or of working with children is preferred, but a willingness to learn on the job and develop knowledge and skills will be viewed very positively.
