Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEND (Primary)

Location: Castle Newnham

Salary: NJC Scale 2A Point 3-4 (£12.85 - £13.05p/hr)

Hours: 31.67 hours per week plus 5 INSET days.

Reports to: SENDCo

Responsibilities:

Work in classroom settings to identify and develop strategies to support pupils in overcoming barriers to their learning.
Provide an extra layer of support for pupils, working alongside teaching staff and existing pastoral systems.
Deliver programmes of support for literacy or numeracy to small groups of pupils, as required.
Support primary pupils and develop personal skills and resilience appropriate for the role.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in a similar role within the education system is preferred.
Personal skills and resilience to develop and support pupils in SEND.
