About the Role
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring strong academic outcomes while supporting pupils' personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils effectively for SATs while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 6 desirable)
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and high expectations
- Be committed to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing
- Value teamwork and contribute positively to school life
