Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Physics to join the Physics Department for parental leave cover (full time fixed term contract). The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the subject and a desire to inspire pupils.
Responsibilities
- Teach International GCSE Physics and A Level Physics effectively.
- Create engaging, stimulating lessons that foster curiosity, academic rigour and confidence.
- Support pupils who aspire to study Physics, engineering or related subjects at competitive universities.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, share good practice and reflect on teaching.
- Participate in enrichment opportunities such as Science clubs, competitions and lectures.
- Undertake tutor duties within a boarding or day house, contributing to pastoral development and well being of pupils.
Qualifications
- Good degree in Physics or a related discipline.
- A teaching qualification is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and parents.
Other Requirements
