About You We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly skilled musician who: Is an accomplished teacher of both saxophone and clarinet. Has a proven ability to lead bands and ensembles to a high standard. Is motivated to recruit, develop and retain pupils. Can establish and sustain a reputation for excellence in woodwind performance. Brings energy, creativity and strong organisational skills. Has the ability to arrange music and/or accompany performers (highly desirable). Is passionate about developing young musicians through both individual tuition and ensemble performance.The successful candidate will hold two concurrent appointments during term time: Swing & Concert Band Leader (Part-Time Contract) to: Lead and direct our swing band and single reed ensemble. Rehearse and prepare ensembles for performances and school events. Currently approximately 4-5 hours per week, term-time only. Opportunity for the role to expand in line with pupil demand and programme growth. Peripatetic Instrumental Teacher (Self-Employed Agreement) to: Develop and grow a private teaching practice in saxophone and clarinet. Deliver three blocks of ten weeks' tuition across the academic year. Build and maintain pupil numbers through active recruitment and promotion.
