Summary: Teaching Assistant 2B
We are seeking an enthusiastic person to work 25 hours per week, term time only (20 hours TA and 5 hours welfare) in a flexible capacity in school. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to best meet the needs of the children in the allocated class. This is an opportunity to join our strong team of staff here at Moor End and to make a positive contribution to our continued success and progress.
The leadership team are currently looking at teaching assistant allocations for 26-27 and will take note of the experience and skills of the person appointed in deciding where best to place them. Initially it will be in either KS1 or KS2. We are looking for a TA who is organised and efficient in getting tasks done and also has a nurturing manner with the children that balances well between friendliness and clear expectations in terms of behaviour and learning.
All 25 hours of the role are paid at TA Level 2B.
Hours of work will be 25 hours per week, with 5 hours being at lunchtime. This position is part time term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Under the general supervision and direction of the teacher you will:
- Plan and implement learning activities for individuals and groups.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
- Provide short-term cover for classes to which the Teaching Assistant is normally assigned, when the class teacher is unexpectedly unavailable.
- Support lunchtimes.
